The Storm Wolves consist of a nice versatile list for killing the enemies of the Imperium.
Thoradin "Stormwolf" Whitefang "count as" Logan Grimnar
My actual Logan Grimnar model is actually painted to look like a statue of him in combat, since in my storyline he has died in combat like a true Space Puppy.
Harald Deathwolf - is the Wolf Lord who I run with my Thunder Wolf Cavalry. I have him wielding a Thunder Hammer, Storm Shield, Runic Armor and Saga of the Warrior or Bear (depending on how I feel). I painted his Thunder Wolf, Ice Tooth, to look similar to my my siberian husky Guinevere. :D
Canis Wolfborn - Needs to be painted.
Njal Stormcaller - Needs to be painted.
Rune Priest Lokken, is here with a jump pack and his Runic Weapon. I will explain why I field them with jump packs in a later date. But I have 3 more Rune Priests with Jump Packs that are built and done being painted.
Wolf Priest Elric - The Wolf Priest that tamed Thoradin and the 5 other Wulfen Guard. He is always on hand for the Wulfen guard and is now devoted to them and them alone to make sure they keep their sanity. After every battle he consoles and guides them preventing the Curse of the Wulfen to reach beyond the Point of salvation.
Wulfen Guard: Is the Wolf Guard that was there when Logan Grimnar died in battle saving Fenris. They accompany Thoradin Whitefang wherever he goes. They follow his commands and only his commands for they are still under his tutelage seeking his and the wolf priests guidance to master the Curse of the Wulfen.
- Asbjorn - Flamer & Chainfist
- Vladimir - Thunder Hammer & Storm Shield
- Skeld - Wolf Claws
- Einz - Frost Blade & Storm Bolter
- Zwei - Frost Blade & Storm Bolter
The Silent Guard: Is the other half of the Wolf Guard that served under Logan when he was alive, but they were deployed in a distant system taking care of a chaos incursion. Since they weren't they when Logan fell and they feel they could have saved him if his Wolf Guard where at full numbers, they took a vow of silence until they feel they have honored his memory.
- Power Weapon & Storm Bolter x4
- Thunder Hammer, Storm Bolter, and Cyclone Missle Launcher
Thunderwolf Cavalry - Currently being painted and need to have their pictures taken. Each Thunderwolf rider has different wargear, yay wound allocation.
- Idolist - CCW & Bolt Pistol
- Edgtho - CCW, Bolt Pistol, Meltabombs
- Hergar - CCW & Storm Shield
- Helfdane - Thunder Hammer & Bolt Pistol
Dreadnaughts - Currently being being painted.
Longfangs Pack - Have enough of them to have 5 of each gun.
Grey Hunters Pack
The grey hunters all have the wolf head model of space marine helms. Currently I have 1 full squad painted and modelled this way and working on my other 2 squads. Here you can see the Storm Wolves banner proudly being carried through battle with this squad of Grey Hunters.
Bloodclaws - I dont have any modelled because they are crappy and any Space Wolves player can invest points into a better unit. So they are on guard duty and are only called to arms when Fenris is being attacked.
Skyclaws - Is a conversion project that is next up inline after I finish the Wulfen. I will be fielding Skyclaws to accompany my Rune Priest so he is a giant sign that says "SHOOT ME!" For this conversion project all I am gonna say is Norse Mythology; Valkyries.
Land Speeder Squadron - Just built them and ran them over the weekend in a 40k tourney I hosted at my house. One of the best purchases I have made for my army. 3 speeders + 2 heavy bolters on each = swiss cheese.
Land Raider Crusader - The transport of choice my Wulfen Guard. I have the forgeworld Space Wolves doors on it to make it more Space Puppies looking.
Vindicators - I run two of them usually in all of my lists, and I always give the Siege Shield so I can move them with no problems and make the best out of its short range. I field two because one juicy target like that means you probably won't get to use it, so 2 of them doubles my chances of getting to use it.
Whirlwind - To take care of those Swarm Armies, and threaten the whole board.
Razorbacks, Rhinos and Drop Pods - Are Basecoated but they aren't that special looking so pictures of them will happen eventually.
